Reina Hondo
Co-Founder / Violinist / Strings
Reina Hondo is a Queens native whose musical identity was shaped early by a deep love of classical music. Beginning piano at five and violin at three years later, she committed to daily practice from the start, a discipline that carried her through orchestral performances, private teaching, and eventually into original composition and collaboration. She plays piano, violin, viola, flute, and percussion, weaving classical training into whatever genre needs her. Her debut track "The Girl From Queens", co-written with Javon Talavera-Ingram, captures exactly that: a Queens story told through solo violin. She has since released "Careful With That Violin" and her EP 25!!!!, and performed "The Girl From Queens" as a solo violin acapella at a live NYRR event in 2025. For Reina, music is a bridge between genres, between generations, and between people.
